Farmers Market Guide for Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky Region for 2022

With summer fast approaching, it’s almost time for one of the most anticipated arrivals of the season: agricultural markets.

Picture yourself, the summer of 2022 and you spend a Saturday morning browsing the vendors at your local farmer’s market. Maybe you’re looking for fresh produce for a recipe you’re making or want a beautiful bouquet of wildflowers to brighten up your home. Maybe you have an insatiable craving for freshly baked chocolate chip cookies or are looking for organic skin care products. Regardless of what brought you there, you know your day is well spent mingling with members of your community and supporting mom and pop stores in your hometown.

Farmers’ markets have become a summer staple in recent years, and it’s a trend that will likely grow in popularity with each passing season. The Farmers Market Coalition describes several goals and benefits of these local markets, including “preserving America’s rural livelihoods and farmland, boosting local economies, increasing access to fresh, nutritious food, supporting healthy communities, and promoting the sustainability”.

In short, farmers markets allow community members to buy from area farmers and businesses, contribute to their local economies, and have fun while doing it.

Note: Some markets operate year-round, but many others are open during the summer and offer a variety of seasonal goods. Here’s a roundup of this year’s farmers markets in the Cincinnati area.
