The Lehi Farmers Market really turned out to be a hidden gem. This family-friendly experience offers a wide variety of products for customers of all ages, from homemade jams and jellies to customizable jewelry. Although open year-round as Father’s Day approaches, organizers have planned special events honoring all father figures from Friday, June 10 through Saturday, June 18. Plans include free Saturday tractor rides and free Friday night dad dinners.

The market officially opened in 2020, during the pandemic. Owners Dorothy and Larry Jarvis have dedicated their time to creating a farmers market with a friendly atmosphere and kind vendors. Khristine Gilson Baker, the owner of the “Scentsy” booth, gave her opinion on the general atmosphere of the place. “Vendors here support each other,” Baker said. “It’s an amazing group that feels like family.”

Scentsy offers a wide selection of soaps, candles and oils. The Gilson Baker stand is a must at the event. Chelle B’s Mesh-N-Round offers homemade wreaths and bows for all occasions, including seasons, holidays, and decorations. These products, like many other products offered, are customizable.

While many providers have been around since the beginning, a few have joined more recently. Earthborn Essentials, a stand focused on crystals and infused essential oils, has been on the market since September 2021. Owner Lawanna Spencer said, “I’m always in the spirit of helping people find what they need. need, just like all the other sellers here. Even other suppliers offer similar products at our booth, but we always support each other. There is never a competitive or unpleasant advantage, ever.

Due to the start of the market during the pandemic, the owners have been diligently trying to publicize the local market. “Local establishments and small businesses are important,” Spencer said. “Dorothy and Larry have created this great market in the midst of COVID, and it needs to continue.”

The Lehi Farmers Market has created a great environment where families can come together and celebrate Father’s Day. The last day dedicated to this party will be Saturday, June 18.
