Montevallo Farmers Market to Open June 6 – Shelby County Reporter
MONTEVALLO – The Montevallo Farmer’s Market will open on Monday, June 6 at 3 p.m.
The market is open every Monday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with the last market date set for August 15.
“We have a very good group of local producers this year,” said Adele Nelson, executive director of Montevallo Chamber. “The market also offers flowers, handmade soaps, ointments, candles, lotions, lemonade, peanuts, baked goods, honey, jams, jellies and many fresh fruits and vegetables. In addition, the Parnell Library will be on site with its portable book case and card registration.
This year marks the market’s 12th anniversary as an annual community project of the Montevallo Chamber of Commerce, the First Baptist Church of Montevallo, and the City of Montevallo.
The market averages between 16 and 20 vendors each week, according to Nelson, and is an Alabama Department of Agriculture-certified market.

The market is located on the grassy field behind the First Baptist Church of Montevallo at 660 Main Street.
Parking is available in the paved parking lot behind the church.
