Marie’s Soap Co. sells its all-natural bar soap and other products weekly at the Saucon Valley Farmer’s Market in Hellertown. They’re this Sunday’s Market Vendor of the Week, so drop by and say hello and make a purchase between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

With the hot and sticky weather ahead, maintaining good hygiene is about to get a little harder. Luckily, a popular vendor at the Saucon Valley Farmer’s Market is well-stocked and ready to help you stay clean all summer long, without using chemicals.

The Savonnerie de Marie is one of Hellertown Market’s most experienced vendors, and also their Vendor of the Week for this Sunday May 22.

Based in Ottsville, Bucks County, Marie’s uses vegetable oils, shea and cocoa butters, dried herbs, spices, seeds, vitamin E, pure essential oils and fragrances to make their soaps. and related products, which are always presented attractively on their stand. . Their line of soaps includes around two dozen varieties, such as Lovely Lavender, Mint Mix, Ocean Breeze, Spring Shower, Mr. Spice, and Naked Lady, which is an unscented bar.

Unlike commercially made soap, theirs contains no harsh chemicals, fillers, or detergents; their foam is long-lasting; and most importantly, many of their products are ideal for sensitive skin. They also offer a line of all-natural insect repellents called Bug O’way.

This Sunday, the farmer’s market will also welcome its first Art in the Park event of the season, with local artisans selling candles, bags, bespoke jewelry, home decor, handcrafted cutting boards and more. local science fiction author Christopher D. Ochs will be at the market to meet readers and sign copies of his books, and the Second Saturday Spinners will be there to demonstrate old-fashioned yarn-making.

Every Sunday, visitors can expect some of the best entertainment in the region. Live music represents a significant share of the market. This Sunday’s star performer is Nick Franco.

Visitors can also enter the annual market sunflower contest, sponsored by Lost River Caverns. Simply stop by the information booth to pick up a free packet of seeds along with instructions for planting them and entering the contest, which will be judged on September 18.
