SOUTH DAYTON – On a recent Saturday, at the Farmers Market on South Dayton Village Green and upon arrival of the New York & Lake Erie Railroad passenger excursion, visitors were given white and chocolate milk as well as string cheese from the Cattaraugus County Dairy. Cattaraugus Ambassador Princesses Addyson Shawley and Olivia Shawley to promote the dairy industry.

The event was sponsored by Mark Mosher, owner of Harry Austin Milling, South Dayton. String cheese and milk were donated by Upstate Milk.

The Farmers’ Market started in 2013 and is held on Saturdays on the Village Green from June to late November with summer and fall hours. Linda Dewey, Perrysburg, has been a Market Manager since 2015 when she was approved by the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program.
