Farmers Market {Tamarac City}
By Agrippina Fadel
The Tamarac Farmers Market has temporarily changed its location to Tamarac Park so that major upgrades to Veterans Park can be completed.
The weekly market will keep the same hours at the new location, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
According to Tamarac spokeswoman Eunicia Baker, construction of the park includes improvements to the parking lot, a new restroom building and updates to the Veterans Memorial Wall.
“The Farmers Market will be moved to Veterans Park once construction is complete. Expected completion time is late winter/early spring 2023,” she added.
The updated Veterans Park car park would have 59 regular spaces and four boat parking spaces – up from the existing 24 to better accommodate Sunday traffic and help solve the double parking problem.
Shop for fresh produce, teas, sauces, baked goods, hummus, pickles, and other artisan goods at the upcoming Farmer’s Market on Sundays, July 3, 17, 24, and 31.
Tamarac Park is located at 7501 North University Drive.
