The North Central Farmers Market returns Saturday with 10 new vendors and a jazz trio

NORTH CENTER — Neighbors can shop for fresh produce and baked goods and listen to live music at the North Center Farmer’s Market, which returns for the season on Saturday.

The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the North Town Center Square, 4100 N. Damen Ave. until October.

The Chase Wilkins Jazz Trio will perform from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

“We have many great suppliers returning this year and over 10 new suppliers,” said Eileen Keleghan, executive director of the North Central Chamber of Commerce.

Neighbors can enjoy freshly brewed coffee while shopping for fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers from three local farmers.

The market will also feature cheese, baked goods, handmade soaps, dried flower wreaths, tropical plants, jerk spices and sauces, honey and various nut butters from vendors every weekend, Keleghan said.

“Something new to our marketplace this year, we will be accepting SNAP/Link and Link Match vouchers for qualifying products,” Keleghan said.
